Machakos County Chief of Staff and Leading Contender for Kibwezi West MP Hon Wakili Mutuse Mwengi, OGW on Friday began a three-day developmental tour of Makindu Ward. The much-awaited tour, one of the many Hon Mutuse has undertaken in Kibwezi West is to inspect and launch development projects under the auspices of his Kibwezi Empowerment Foundation.
Speaking to Tribune, Hon Mutuse Mwengi updated: “We will be inspecting and launching development projects in Kai, Ikungu, Kiambani, Kamboo and Yimwaa Primary Schools as well as the NEW Kiambani secondary school, among other development initiatives by Kibwezi Empowerment Foundation.”
All the Kibwezi West Constituency Resident who took to social media to welcome Hon Mutuse Mwengi, the man most of them have accepted as their next MP, to the ground were full of praises for his development track record. One Joshua Mutua said “You’re a great and visionary leader. Your focus on universal development for all is amazing. The society is happy and proud of you. Anold Mumo added “Good work wakili. The future is bright.
On her part. Everlyne Mukeku stated “Good work. Ikungu people waiting for launch of the water project.” Dominic Kaseki pledged to support Hon Mutuse and to rally his neighbours to the cause. He posted “What you did for me is unforgettable. I have 200 Votes to deliver for you at Kiambani Primary School, Makindu.” Shedys Mumo added “All the best Mheshimiwa for making the kibwezi west constituency a better place.”
Vincent Muindi Luka lauded Hon Mutuse Mwengi for his efforts and wished him success in the coming election. He added: “The development and poverty eradication conversation is what will take our Country and Kibwezi West forward. Education being a core Pillar for realization. Behind you Kiongozi. Oscar Kiilu pleased with him to extend the journey beyond the disclosed itinerary. “Well done, but tembea Mitendeu primary and secondary, tunaitaji stima, it’s being pending for long please.”
Julius Mulaki congratulated Hon Mutuse Mwengi on the progress he had made so far towards clinching the Kibwezi West seat in 2022 and made an appeal to Kibwezi Empowerment Foundation on behalf of his favourite club. “Congratulations Mheshimiwa, my humble request to you, kandengya football club requests you for a ball, the one they had been using has worn out and kindly come to their rescue!”
Barfen Wambua said he can’t wait for Hon. Mutuse Mwengi to take over the reins as Kibwezi West MP. “In your tenure, Kbz West Constituency will be a benchmarking Constituency. Keep up the good work Mheshimiwa.” Ambrose Mwendwa pledged to support him, “You deserve the position of MP we will support you.” Raul Ndambuki added “This is wonderful Mheshimiwa, May Almighty God continue blessing you.”
As the Patron and Benefactor of the Kibwezi Empowerment Foundation (KEF), Hon Mutuse Mwengi has blazed the trail and set the bar very high by undertaking numerous transformative development initiatives in Kibwezi West. Most of the projects are targeted at enhancing economic activities through supporting Chamas and vertical gardens and empowering the community through nurturing sports and talents in Kibwezi West and beyond.
Hon Mutuse has also initiated the Build A Class Initiative which has been hailed for helping thousands of school children enjoy the benefit of learning in safe, secure and conducive environment. So far, Hon. Mutuse has helped construct a total of 18 classes and renovated classes in many schools benefiting 12,689 children, distributed over 100,000 masks to pupils in schools reaching 294 schools in all the 6 wards of Kibwezi West and facilitated over 4,000 vertical gardens projects.
Mutuse has also supported dozens of Women Chamas, sponsored sports activities and tournaments and talent search, development and mentorship including hosting celebrities like Daniel Ndambuki of Churchill Show Director in Kibwezi West to help nurture emerging talents. Hon Mutuse has also led community charity events which saw him donate foodstuff worth millions to the vulnerable members of the society.
