    Armand ‘Mondo’ Duplantis

The 24-year-old Swedish athlete cemented his authority as to why he is considered one of the greatest pole vaulters of all time.

Duplantis soared towards his second Olympic gold medal in Paris, cruising to a new world record height of 6.25 meters.

This marked the 9th time Duplantis has struck a world record, soaring past the 6.24-meter height he set earlier this year.

Duplantis’ recent achievement at the 2024 Paris Olympics solidifies his increasing dominance in the sport’s legacy, He continued a streak of incredible performance at major international championships.

His show of deep emotional celebration after jumping the world record-breaking vault was a moment that will be remembered for many years in the future of the Olympics.

    Letsile Tebogo

Despite the heartbreak of missing out narrowly in the 100-meter medal table, Letsile Tebogo made a stunning comeback to claim gold in fashion for the men’s 200 meters with a spectacular finish time of 19.46 seconds.

The victory refined his status as one of the Olympics’ brightest young stars by toppling short-race track giants like USA’s Noah Lyles and Kenny Bednarek.

At only 21 years old, Tebogo’s rise to the Olympic glory is built by staunch resilience and raw talent. His achievements gathered tens of thousands of Botswana citizens in the capital Gaborone to celebrate him as a national hero.

Letsile Tebogo is the first African to win gold in the men’s 200-meter finals in the history of the Olympics and the Botswana government declared a public holiday in his honor to recognize his contribution and impact to his country’s sporting success.

Tebogo was also instrumental to Botswana’s 4×400 meters relay team which claimed silver at the 2024 Paris Olympics. This display of versatility highlighted the bright future for his athletic career with the whole world waiting in anticipation to see what he will achieve in the coming years.

    Ryan Crouser

Ryan’s victory in the shot-put competition at the 2024 Paris Olympics was not only a historic win—it was a huge milestone. The 31-year-old American gold medalist solidified his status as an all-time great short putter and the first male or female to win three consecutive Olympic gold medals.

Ryan Crouser achieved the winning throw of 22.90 meters despite a series of health challenges including torn pectoral muscle, blood clots, and nerve injury that almost sent him out of the Olympic competition. His resilience in the midst of setbacks kept him on track to overcome obstacles and achieve greatness making his win one of the most inspiring stories of triumph in the 2024 Paris Olympics.

    Emmanuel Wanyonyi

The 20-year-old Kenyan athlete added to his already burgeoning legacy by claiming gold in the men’s 800-meter final at the Paris Olympics.

His ability to counter stiff competition from Algeria’s Djamel Sedjati and Canada’s Marco Arop championed his great potential as a middle-distance runner from a country that has produced most of the best runners in history.

    Karsten Warholm

The men’s 400 meters hurdles final at the 2024 Paris Olympics was one of the fiercest and most anticipated events, with each athlete fit enough to clinch gold, the high-quality field widely favored Karsten Warholm to defend his title, but, a powerful sprint propelled USA’s Rai Benjamin to victory.

Bejamin’s spectacular finish down the final track claimed him the Olympic gold. Warholm squandered his chance of glory after stumbling and losing amidst a massive crowd of supporters cheering Benjamin to the Olympic crown, His win capped off a night of exhilarating athletics action securing his place among the sport’s elite.

After 16 days of first-class action, the curtains were drawn in the city of love with the 2024 Paris Olympic Games coming to an end on Sunday 11th August. The Olympic torch and flag were handed to Los Angeles, Olympics 2028 hosts, with a promise to bring freshness and innovation to the games.
