Easy Ways To Detox Your Home

    How to detox your home

Doing a home detox can be taxing, especially if it is your first time. Below are some super easy ways to detox your home without breaking your back.

    No Shoes In The House

To start your home detox, simply leave your shoes outside. Alternatively, you can take your shoes off at your doorstep and carry them to the washing area for cleaning. Form a habit of leaving the germs from outside where they belong. If you have guests coming in, ensure that you have comfortable indoor shoes or slippers for them to slip in once they take their shoes off at the door.

    Dust Everything Out

Dust in the house is microscopic, making it hard to see. It comes from many substances, such as mold, smoke, bacteria, ashes, dead skin, hair, paint, animal fur, pollen, and food residue. Maintaining clean floors and surfaces is essential regardless of whether the dust is visible.

    Use Friendly Cleaning Products

If you can access natural and effective cleaning products, it will be better for your house. Some cleaning products contain harsh chemicals, such as butexythanol, which is risky for your health. You can improvise and use alternative products to get a clean space without risking your health. For example, you can use baking soda and vinegar as an alternative to clean surfaces and fabrics in your home.

    Substitute Plastic

Plastic contains a hazardous component called bisphenol A. Hence, it can be toxic, and you must minimize its consumption of food. To avoid toxins leaching from plastic, you can substitute it with glass, Which is non-toxic and aesthetically appealing.

    Use a Water Filter

Do not trust your tap water, whether in a high-end neighborhood or an average area. You need a water filter to eliminate all the toxins in your water. Tap water contains heavy metals and bacteria that can cause harm.

    Maintain Fresh Air

Living in a small space or an apartment makes it easy for the house to feel congested and toxic. One way to make it fresh is by allowing as much air as possible to go in and out. This means having your windows open daily for a few hours to allow for a fresh air cycle. Also, avoid using overly chemicalized air fresheners and switch to essential oils to keep your house smelling fresh. Also, sleep in a non-heated bedroom and try to keep the temperature at 19 degrees for better sleep.

    Plants

If you want to go green and still have your space look great, contact your plant supplier for some beautiful indoor plants. Plants can purify and humidify your space, making it look cozy and gorgeous. Their leaves absorb environmental gases, making your space naturally detoxified.

    Professional Cleaning

Some areas in their house require deep, professional cleanings, such as the deep corners of their couch or mattresses. You can have regular professional deep cleaning to reach the areas that everyday cleaning may miss.
