    From the Olympic Games to the World Championships, female athletes have achieved great success and attracted lucrative sponsorship deals and opportunities to rank them among the wealthiest people in athletics.

    Track and field is one of the most popular sports events and has produced talented athletes who have attracted the limelight both off and on the track.

    Track and field stars have been raking big bucks from their running profession and endorsement deals.

    Female athletes have shattered gender barriers in sports and made names for themselves. They have not only proved their prowess on the track but have also evolved to become affluent sources of financial inspiration for upcoming runners. 

    But who are the richest female athletes in the world? Sha’Carri Richardson Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce, and Allyson Felix are some track stars who have proven that an athlete can bounce back from setbacks.

    1) Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce – $5 million

    The Jamaican queen of track is one of the richest female track and field athletes. She is undoubtedly one of the greatest and most consistent sprinters the world has known. Thanks to her hard work on and off the track.

    The 10-time world champion has signed major deals with companies like Nike, Richard Mile, Afimi, and Digicel. She also owns a hair salon, Chic Hair Ja, in Kingston, Jamaica. Throughout her active years as an athlete, Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce has secured massive wealth through endorsements and business transactions.

    2) Allyson Felix – $4.5 million

    The sprint legend is the most decorated American Olympian in track and field with 11 medals won in her name across five consecutive Olympic Games.

    Despite having hung her spikes, Allyson Felix still earns money from brands like Athleta and personal business initiatives. During her active days, she had signed a lucrative deal with Nike, and made her extremely rich.

    3) Sha’Carri Richardson – $4 million

    This year has been extremely successful for Sha’Carri Richardson on and off the track as she has managed to work with brands like Nike, Beats by Dre, Android, Oikos, Olay, and Sprite. From her unique styles, charming vibe, and sprinting talent, Sha’Carri Richardson has everything that a successful sprinter should have.

    Despite being in the game for a short time, the American sprint queen has amassed wealth through endorsements, and her athletics success.

    She has also achieved huge milestones on the track, winning silver in the 100m and gold in the 4x100m relay at the Paris Olympic Games.

    4) Caster Semenya – $2.5 million

    The South African middle-distance athlete made a name for herself thanks to her exploits on the track. Semenya is a two-time Olympic gold medalist and won three gold medals at the World Championships.

    Caster Semenya has sponsorships with Nike, Isuzu, and Discovery Vitality among other brands that have earned her a huge amount of money. She also launched her book “The Race to Be Myself” and is certainly making money from that.

    5) Dina Asher-Smith – $2.5 million

    The former 200m world champion British-born sprinter is one of the richest female track and field athletes of all time.

    Dina Asher-Smith has managed to use her skills on and off track and has partnerships with Nike, Hublot, Eurosport, PureGym, and Müller UK & Ireland. She is also among the most popular athletes in the world with a huge following in the athletic community.
