Musician Bahati and his wife Diana Marua launched the first Kenyan Reality Show on Netflix, The Bahati Empire, yesterday night.
Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua graced the glamorous event and applauded the powerful couple for their great strides.
Renowned musician Kevin Kioko Bahati popularly known as Bahati, alongside his wife Diana Yesternight launched their new reality show, The Bahati Empire set to air on Netflix. The event took place at the prestigious Westwood Hotel, Westlands.
Deputy President H.E Rigathi Gachagua graced the glamorous event underscoring the government’s commitment to supporting the creative economy.
Gachagua, in his speech, emphasized the importance of supporting local content and talent. “The Bahati Empire is a testament to the creativity and resilience of Kenyan artists. We are proud to see our stories being told on global platforms like Netflix,” he said. The DP also urged artists to shun drug abuse.
Other notable attendees included MP Phelix Odiwour (Jalango) and Senator Karen Nyamu, Media personalities (Amina Abdi, Dr. Ofweneke, Betty Kyalo, and Mwalimu Rachael among others), and a host of musicians, local celebrities, and influencers.
The Bahatis Empire Show officially premieres on Friday, 7th June 2024. The show is the first Kenyan Reality Show to debut on Netflix. Bahati emphasized that the show mirrors their real life, struggles, and successes. He added that it is a story of hope and perseverance and would resonate with people from all walks of life.
Before this launch, the Bahatis had posted cryptic messages on his social handles that depicted all was not well in his marriage. However, it came to be that it was a way of promoting the launch of this Reality Show.
